Our primary forest school program for ages 3-6 is a perfect combination of authentic Montessori education and exploratory outdoor forest school.  All learning is seasonal, nature-based, and connected with the children's daily outdoor discoveries.  We incorporate best practices from the Montessori Method, including careful observation to understand each child's interests and catch their "windows of opportunity" to deepen skills and abilities.  When the moment is just right our experienced guides will offer lessons based on each child's needs and interests, building foundational literacy and mathematics skills and deepening curiosity for the natural world.  At other times our guides will stand back and watch the magic happen as children collaborate, problem-solve, engage in risky play (read more about the importance of this!), and connect with the outdoors in the way that's just right for them.
